For the ultimate fusion of style and practicality, the New Beetle TDI takes all the impressive features of the Miami, and adds Volkswagen's advanced 1.9 litre Turbo Diesel Injection (TDI) engine to provide amazing performance and economy.

Engine Technology

The TDI engine incorporates Pumpe-Düse technology, injecting fuel in precise quantities and at incredibly high pressure. The result is a more efficient and clean burning engine, providing huge amounts of torque, effortless performance and remarkable fuel economy. The smooth and quiet 1.9 TDI offers low fuel consumption of just 5.6L/100km*, making it possible to drive up to 1,000kms on a single tank.

Power

Producing 77kW of power at 4,000rpm and an impressive 250Nm of torque at just 1,900rpm, the 1.9 TDI is teamed with a precise 5-speed manual gearbox for the ultimate in drive performance and economy. The New Beetle TDI has the added safety of Electronic Stablisation Program (ESP) to detect and correct oversteer and understeer conditions.

The New Beetle TDI is available in Deep Black, Salsa Red, Reflex Silver, Sunflower, Laser Blue and Harvest Moon.
